  • Short Bio: Dr. Adam Katchmarchi (Ph.D.) is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Drowning Prevention Alliance and an Assistant Professor at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Katchmarchi completed his Doctor of Philosophy from West Virginia University (WVU), his Master of Science from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Bachelor of Science in Education from Slippery Rock University. He is a CPO instructor, American Red Cross Instructor Trainer in Water Safety and Lifeguard and has multiple other health and safety certifications. He is a steering committee member of the US National Water Safety Action Plan, an active member of Water Safety USA and the Aquatic Coalition, and serves on a variety of industry committees and councils. His research is focused on water safety, drowning prevention, risk management, and aquatic facility management.
